A Clean Air Celebration on National Love A Tree Day

cleanair

Have you ever stepped outside and taken a deep breath in, feeling the air immediately circulate through your body? I’m sure you agree it’s one of the best feelings in the world.

Although there are times we are paying more attention to our breathing like in yoga or when we have just walked outside for the first time all day, our bodies are constantly breathing in the air in order to keep us alive.

We may not always be aware of its importance, but clean air is not something we should take for granted. With that said, trees play a large role in producing oxygen and cleaning the air, providing optimal benefits to our bodies and environment, which is why we hope you’ll join us today as we celebrate National Love A Tree Day!

Clean Air and Clean Lungs

You may not have realized just how significant the role of a tree is in our everyday life. In fact, most people don’t.

Thanks to the trees that make up our favorite communities and parks, we can breathe better during allergy season and inhale clean air resulting in cleaner lungs.

More than that, clean air is actually linked to a longer life span. I bet it’s been a while since you thanked a tree for keeping you alive, but it makes sense!

Contaminated air can lead to serious health problems such as chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Clean air not only limits these conditions but actually improves our immune system overall.

Leveraging Your HVAC System

Trees are essential when it comes to the outdoor air we breathe as we live in a world filled with pollution. However, we spend a large amount of time inside our homes and the air we breathe inside is equally important.

The health benefits to breathing in clean air (as you read above) are endless and we are committed to ensuring your air quality is kept to the highest standard possible.

Unfortunately, many of us don’t realize that indoor air quality is actually two to five times worse than the outdoor air quality, making properly functioning HVAC systems a non-negotiable.

Celebrating Today

There are many ways we can celebrate National Love A Tree Day with the obvious one being to go out and plant your own tree. This can be a fun family activity where you pick a spot in your backyard and explain to your kids all of the benefits this tree will provide them.

If planting a tree isn’t possible, fill up a bucket of water, go to your favorite park and water the trees that are already working for us. Although new trees are always necessary, if we don’t take care of the ones that are already living, we will find ourselves wishing we did in the future.

Lastly and maybe most importantly, find time to connect with nature in some way. If trees can teach us anything, it’s that our environment is intimately connected and therefore deserves to be connected with. Our hope is that each of you will join us in celebrating National Love A Tree Day, but more than that, we hope that you will pay close attention to the air circulating in your own homes. Help the air circulating in our environment by planting a tree (or two) and help the air circulating in your home or business by calling us.
